Our Directors, Pat, Rebecca and Sandra, recently represented Great Southern Aboriginal Medical Service (GSAMS) at the Aboriginal Health Council of Western Australia (AHCWA) Conference in Perth.

The conference provided a valuable opportunity to connect with Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations from across the State, share knowledge and strengthen partnerships that support better health outcomes for Aboriginal communities.

We extend our sincere thanks to AHCWA for generously providing the conference tickets and for hosting such an important and inspiring event.

The 2025 Annual General Meeting of the Great Southern Aboriginal Medical Service (GSAMS) was held on 21 February 2026 at the Dog Rock Motel in Albany, bringing together board members and community to reflect on the organisation’s work over the past year and its continued commitment to establishing a Community Controlled Health Service and improving Aboriginal health outcomes across the Great Southern region.

Group of diverse people including children and adults gathered in a room with a whiteboard and a large screen displaying a landscape image of hills and water in the background. They are standing and sitting around a table with papers and cups, posing for a photo.

This training has been completed.

A big thank you to all who expressed their interest and attended.

Keep a watch out for future training or programs being offered by GSAMS.
